How does the Perfect Derma Peel compare to other peels? Perfect Derma Peel vs. VI Peel?

The Perfect Derma Peel combines intense ingredients with effective acids to deliver outstanding results after one treatment (although some patients require a series of treatments initially). This unique formula allows for an increase in lifting of fine lines and wrinkles as well as lightening of melasma and sun damage and hyperpigmentation. Unlike the perfect derma peel, the VI Peel doesn't have glutathione an extremely powerful, anti-aging ingredient. The Perfect Derma Peel is fairly simple, and pain-free (or very low-pain) chemical peel.

 

Number of Treatments:

After one treatment of the Perfect Derma Peel, you will likely see amazing results. Depending on skin conditions, multiple treatments may be necessary for desired results. A series of 2-3 treatments applied once every 4 weeks will allow for optimal results for more severe skin conditions such as melasma and active acne. You might need 1-4 Perfect Derma Peels per year to maintain the result.

 

Preparing for Peel:

- The Perfect Derma Peel requires no preparations of the skin prior to treatment. Patients who use Accutane must stop usage 3 months prior to treatment in order to achieve desired results.

- Some patients will feel a slight stinging or tingling sensation after application of the chemical peel, which will subside after 45 seconds or so. Numbing takes place once the first layer of the Perfect Derma Peel solution is applied. 

- The Perfect Derma Peel application takes 15-20 minutes to administer.

- Immediately after the peel has been applied the skin will likely appear red, like a sunburn, or even darker. Usually by day three, peeling will begin. A gentle moisturizer will reduce the visibility of peeling but you MUST NOT PULL on the the dead skin as it peels off as this can severely damage the skin. The peeling skin must fall off naturally. By day six or seven the peeling process is normally found to be complete and the results are visible.

Can the Perfect Derma Peel be applied to other parts of the body?

The Perfect Derma Peel can be applied to other areas of the body, but the process and results might not be the same.

 

Will the Perfect Derma Peel help acne and acne scars?

The Perfect Derma Peel formula was designed primarily to help improve various problematic skin conditions. Acne is a major factor in what this treatment is targeted to resolve. The  Perfect Derma Peel helps minimize and sometimes remove the damage and scarring done by acne. The Glutathione found in the peel helps increase cellular turnover to help remove stubborn acne scars. A series of chemical peels will usually be necessary to diminish the damage and scaring already done.

 

How many Chemical Peels will I need to get rid of my acne scars?

Depending on the severity of the scarring a different amount of treatments will be needed.  We usually do a series of 3-4 peels every four weeks for optimal results. 

 

How will the Perfect Derma Peel improve my skin?

The Perfect Derma Peel will help erase fine lines and wrinkles, reduce enlarged pores, help build collagen and elastin which will help to tighten and firm the skin; giving a more youthful look. In addition, it will reduce or even eliminate sun spots. Acne and Acne Scars are usually drastically improved. The treatment fights free radical damage to remove discoloration due to sun damage and even out overall skin tone and complexion; leaving a smooth, youthful glow.

 

- Skin will be more sensitive during the peeling process. We recommend a gentle moisturizer, cleanser and sunscreen during this time.

- Sun exposure should be avoided before and during the chemical peel process to avoid uneven skin tone and poor results.

 

Who is qualified to Give Perfect Derma Peel?

This is a medical grade peel, and should be done by or monitored by a healthcare provider.
