Kybella
A NON-SURGICAL PROCEDURE TO GET RID OF YOUR DOUBLE CHIN!
For some of us it’s a turkey neck that runs in the family and for others it’s due to weight gain and/or age. No matter the reason, its unsightly and can make you look older and tired even when you are not. In the past, the only way to deal with a double chin was plastic surgery. Surgery is very effective but carries risk, can be expensive and a long recovery. Kybella injections offer a convenient, in-office procedure with less downtime and cost.

What is Kybella Treatment?
Kybella is an injectable drug administered at BEAUTIFY. Kybella is FDA approved for moderate to severe submental fat (double chin). In an approximately 15-20 minute procedure, a series of small injections are made into the double chin fat. Kybella is a synthetic form of a naturally occurring chemical produced by the liver. This chemical, deoxycholic acid, is a bile salt that helps to digest fat in the food we eat. When injected into the area under the chin, it kills fat cells. This leads to a visible reduction in submental fat, also known as a double chin. The Kybella injection sites are carefully mapped out before starting the injection procedure. During the 15-20 minute procedure, multiple small injections are made into the area under the chin with a small needle. After the procedure is completed, your are free to return to normal activities that same day.

Does Kybella Work?
Yes, but it depends on how much fat you have and the results desired. Kybella treatments can be repeated every month for a max of 6 treatments. Of course, with more treatments you will see improved results. Generally, patients who have more fat will require more kybella treatments. After 2-3 treatment sessions spaced at least one 4-6 weeks apart, visible reduction of submental fat can be noticed.

The Kybella Side Effects & Kybella Recovery
When administered properly, Kybella injections are a safe alternative to surgery. The most common side effects are swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness and areas of hardness around the treatment area for some time. These are not all of the possible side effects of Kybella. Usually, Kybella recovery takes about one week as the swelling resolves.

Kybella Swelling
The main side effect many patients will experience from Kybella is swelling. Kybella swelling usually peaks at 24 hours after injection and resolves after 48 hours. Some patients who receive more Kybella injections, may experience swelling for a longer period of time. Although you make look worse for a while, the Kybella swelling shows that it is working because it means that it is killing off the fat cells.

How long can Kybella Injections last?
Kybella injections destroys the submental (under chin) fat cells. So the results are long-lasting. Once acceptable results are obtained, no further treatments are necessary.

What is the cost of Kybella?
Kybella is sold by the vial. Each Kybella treatment session may require 1-3 vials, so fees may be $650-$1,000 per session. This may seem expensive, but surgery is more costly, requires an operating room and has more downtime. In-office, Kybella treatments are far less costly, safer and easy to repeat. What is BraBella?
When Kybella is injected into the bra fat area, it is called "Brabella” The Brabella procedure reduces the bra bulge that can be extremely bothersome to some women. It is the “bra fat” pocket right at the armpit and breast line that can be seen in tank tops.
With a full treatment of Kybella in this area, the product dissolves that small pocket of fat in 4-6 weeks. Patients typically require 2-3 treatments, roughly 6-12 weeks apart to get rid of this fat pocket. Tenderness and swelling for as least 1-2 weeks following the procedure is expected like the double chin.
