Non-Surgical Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)

Danielle Malatek, APRN performs non-surgical Brazilian butt lifts with dermal fillers and biolstimulators.  She developed her own unique method that can be tailored to reduce cellulite or increase volume in the butt.  She is also able to treat hip dips; leaving a natural, hourglass figure.  She was one of the first in the area to pioneer hyper-dilute fillers and sculptra for BBL.

Non Surgical BBL VS Surgery BBL

In a Surgical BBL, fat is harvested with invasive liposuction from another area of your body with an excess of fat, such as love handles, thighs, waist, or back. Once harvested, it is purified, and the fat cells are injected into your buttocks to create a rounder, more voluptuous bottom.  Sometimes the body will compensate and burn the excess fat placed in the bottom, so results can't be guaranteed.

Another options is getting butt implants.  For this procedure, silicone implants are placed in the buttocks to create more volume. Some slim patients do not have sufficient fat to harvest for a surgical BBL; so they get implants.  The issue with implants is that sometimes they can migrate and look uneven.  They are usually replaced every 10 years or so.

Our favorite procedure and the one we offer is a Non-Surgical BBL! A non-surgical butt lift is done at BEAUTIFY in Columbia, South Carolina.  The procedure is quick and involves minimal pain.  It involves adding volume and lift to the buttocks or shaping the hips with dermal fillers.  We can also treat cellulite!  This treatment is done with a small needle, leaving NO incisions and minimal downtime, you can go back to regular activities the next day!  The results are fast and long-lasting!

At BEAUTIFY we use sculptra and other dermal fillers for non-surgical BBL.  When we use Sculptra, we are building a foundation.  Sculptra, aka Poly-L-Lactic acid, is a powerful stimulator and volumizer that is well-accepted by the body. What makes Sculptra especially well-suited for the buttock lift is its ability to stimulate collagen.  We also use Radiesse.  Radiesse has chemical properties not only add volume through the introduction of the product but also create long-term regeneration of collagen in the buttock. Through this, you can achieve a significant amount of volume with relatively little product over a series of sessions.

All of the fillers we use are FDA-approved injectable treatment that rebuilds volume in the skin.

When Sculptra is injected, it triggers production of fresh, new collagen. Collagen is an essential building block in the skin and helps it look youthful.

Other dermal fillers such as restylane are made from hyaluronic acids, which are excellent fillers but do not have the same collagen-building capabilities as Sculptra and Radiesse. The PLL in Sculptra results in more resilient volume creation, lasting as long as five years or more compared to hyaluronic acid fillers, which may only last as long as twelve months at a time.

Should I get a bbl?

It's hard to say who should get a non-surgical BBL.  We recommend coming in for a consult to see if you would be a good candidate.  Candidates who will benefit the most from a non-surgical butt lift are in good overall health, within a reasonable range of their ideal body weight (approx. within 30 lbs) and have realistic expectations. Patients with good skin elasticity, who have taut and firm skin, tend to respond better to non-surgical butt lifts.

Generally, ideal candidates:

  • Wish to have a larger, curvier and rounded butt

  • Wish to reduce cellulite

  • Are dissatisfied with the appearance of a sagging butt, especially after weight loss or child birth

  • Wish to avoid surgery

  • Do not want to deal with the downtime associated with surgery.

  • Do not have enough excess fat on their body for a Brazilian butt lift

  • Desire a more natural result

  • Wish for a larger buttock, but do not want foreign objects like implants in your body that might migrate

How is a Non-surgical BBL Done?

First Danielle Malatek, APRN will consult with you to make sure you are a good candidate for the procedure.  The Sculptra or Dermal Filler Butt Lift begins by marking the area to be treated while you are standing.  Danielle will discuss realistic outcomes (although results can't be garunteed) and make sure she understands what areas bother you. Numbing cream is applied the area and eliminates pain. Then, filler is injected in a pattern that will naturally augment the curvature of the buttocks and increase volume based on your goals.  She will either focus on volume, cellulite or hip-dips. The number of injections and amount of Sculptra or filler required to get the ideal result is dependent on the individual’s goals and anatomy.

Depending on which technique Danielle has performed, the injection is sometimes followed by a vigorous massage to ensure even, smooth distribution of volume.  The entire procedure usually lasts less than 45 minutes.  You will see initial volume that day, but the final results won't be seen for 2-3 months because your collagen will grow during that time.

What Results Will I see from a No Surgery BBL?

As soon as the injection process is complete, the added shape and curvature of the buttocks is visible mostly due to swelling.  These results will fade over the next week and then your collagen will grow and you will see results in approximately 2 months. Although beautiful results may be achieved in just a few injections, typically the best results are achieved with a series appointments.  Typically patients get 1-4 sessions for ideal results.

How Long Will Non-Surgical BBL Results Last?

The results can last 2+ years depending on the patient.  Some patients have reported results lasting 7 years!  Generally patients get one mini-session per year to maintain results.
